Asbestos Supervisor (Initial)
Course Description:
This is a 40-hour course designed to provide training for contractors and supervisors
to obtain an Arkansas Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor license from DEQ. Topics include health effects, PPE, work site preparation, cleanup, disposal, recordkeeping, legalities and includes hands-on activities.

Learning Outcomes:
- Apply regulatory requirements and accepted safety practices when planning, supervising, and documenting asbestos abatement activities.
- Demonstrate appropriate procedures for PPE, containment, decontamination, air-monitoring considerations, cleanup, waste disposal, and oversight of asbestos-related work.
Must Know:
- Attendance is mandatory for all
- Must pass both written and practical exams with 70% or better for certification to be awarded
- Daily breaks are scheduled – please bring or plan to get lunch
